This ocatabox will provide a large, soft light that will wrap around your subjet and give very soft shadows due to its large size. The difference between a flush front octabox and a regular octabox with grid removed is that there is is not a black ring around the light where you would usually mount the grid so the light would be even softer and more diffuse.
